Why we built PillowFare
Travel planning used to take fifteen browser tabs and a spreadsheet. Here's the story behind a one-search travel meta-engine.
Travel planning used to take fifteen browser tabs and a spreadsheet. Here's the story behind a one-search travel meta-engine.
Like most travelers, planning a trip used to mean a careful arrangement of browser windows: Booking.com for hotels, Kayak for flights, Hotels.com for "the second opinion," Google Maps to figure out which neighborhood, plus a spreadsheet to keep it all straight. By the time we'd compared everything, the prices had already changed.
PillowFare started as a frustration. We're travelers who like a good deal, and travel search felt fundamentally broken. So we built the thing we wanted: a single search box that compares hotel rooms, flights, car rentals, experiences, and attractions side-by-side, pulling prices from the world's leading travel partners.
We don't mark up prices. We don't use fake urgency timers. We don't sell your data. We earn an affiliate commission from our partners when you book โ that's it. The price you see is the price you pay.
We're rolling out live partner integrations over the coming months, starting with Booking.com and Expedia for hotels, then flight search via duffel and rapid APIs. If you want updates, drop your email on the contact page or follow us on X.
Thanks for being here early.
